Local trekkers are neglected in ABC

The popular Annapurna Base Camp (ABC) that reaches on the elevation of 4130 meters passing interesting traditional villages, wonderful jungles, waterfalls, melody sounds of birds.
However local Nepali trekkers are treated in wrong way as they prefer foreign guests to come at their hotel. The hoteliers ignore the local tourists as the foreigner tourist’s pays well amount to them.
The government urged internal visitors to visit various destinations but it has not managed anything on the trail for basic services for local tourists. There are no primary health desk and information centers. ABC is well known targets for domestic trekkers of the country faces different behavior for them.
The always used to says the hoteliers don’t give value for providing rooms for locals even room are not full and they asked whether they are foreigner travelers or not. Sheshmani Bhattarai who is also trainers for the teacher of government school said that local tourists are neglected. The hotel owner should not hesitate to provide rooms for local visitors too. Bhattarai was on trekking with his wife.
The Canadian Alex and Spanish Lazaro on the trek was pretty happy with services along the routs however they shared the rooms with others trekkers and enjoyed trek in beautiful place of earth.
The Pokhara’s Porter Jivan mentioned that Nepali domestic trekkers have to sleep in kitchen or dining hall during the peak season in ABC route. While it’s off season they used to call every hotel and if they don’t stay their hotel they get angry.
From Chhomorong to ABC there are approximately 40 hotels running.
These hotel lies between Manang and Kaski district. In season time over 200 people reaches each morning in ABC to see sunrise on Annapurna Himalayan range including Annapurna 1st, South Annapurna and many more peaks.
ACAP (Annapurna Conservation Area Project) was launched in 1986 have been charging Rs 2000 as permit and Rs 1000 for TIMS (Trekkers Information management System) to inter the area. However the trail is pretty danger from Bamboo to Deurali.
Lokendra Rai, who is also senior guide since two decades said that ACAP has done nothing to improve the trails so far and hoteliers don’t allow opening new lodges along the routes.
