Domestic flights fully booked for Dashain

With time to start 3 weeks of Nepal’s national festival “Dashain” the air flights seems fully booked furing the festival time. Every people return to their homes to mark the festival gets rush every year on flights and transport sector.

In general, the domestic flight used fully booked in advance of the day of “Ghatasthapana” which is on 1 October this year but for the festival purpose this year over 70 percent of flights are fully booked in advance.

Due to the Narayanghat- Muglin high way has big disturbance on road transports the passengers are scared to go home by land and have booked their flight to Home in advance.

As per airlines operators, till September 14, the major flight routes from the dates of October 1st to 10th over 70 percent booking have made. Bhadrapur, Janakpur and Biratnagar are the busiest sector for flights.

Main tourist hub airport Lukla – the gate way to World known base camp of Mt Everest is fully booked along with other tourist hub airports Jomsom and Tumlingtar. Narayanghar –Muglin road problems have forced domestic travelers to travel on air flights.

Country’s busiest airlines mentioned that 90 percent flights have been booked during the festival time to the main destinations and they home by next week entire flights will be sold out.

On the starting days of trekking season main tourist hub airports Jomsom and Lukla flights have been totally sold out but other remote area trekking destinations airports like Simikot, Dolpa and other airports booking flight will start next week and airlines are preparing to add extra flights as per passengers demands.

Likewise, Bouddha air’s booking have crossed over 70 percent and they have heavy booking these days. Bouddha airline operate 5 flight each day to Biratnagar, two flights to Bhadrapur from the capital of Nepal.

However, the western region flights booking are slow to Nepalhung and Dhangai and they hope it will start soon.
Bhairahawa flights of Simrik Airlines crossed 70 percent booking and Jomsom and Lukla flights booking have crosses by 90 percent.

Autumn season is the best season for trekking to Nepal Himalaya and also the major festival season of the country usually gets flights over booking problems. The domestic airports of the country get busy work.

October and November are the main season for domestic airlines and it covers 20 percent of their annual flight revenue.

Entire airlines don’t offer discount shame as this time of the year is the money making season for them.
